This is a bottle made by Steve Moseley of St. Louis, Missouri as a gift for Greg and Patty Alvey, the owners of www.folkfolkartinbottles.com. Steve made this bottle in a style used by the late Amos Beiler, of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The bottle contains several flowers and hearts made from 1/64 inch veneers of Maple, Walnut, Cherry and Mahogany. There are three plaques made from mahogany among the flowers, and they contain the names "Greg" and "Patty" and the date "6-6-70." This is for Greg and Patty Alvey and the date of their wedding anniversary. The letters and numbers are made from alphabet pasta, a technique first used by Amos Beiler in some of his early bottles. The flowers, heats and plaques are supported by a trellis frame made of basswood. On the base on of the trellis frame is the signature of the artist "Steve Moseley" and "St. Louis 2008," the location and year the bottle was made. The stopper is made of walnut and has a cross piece making it impossible to remove the stopper from the bottle.
