Bottle 1464 - Mount Cervino Mountain Tools in a Bottle
Date Added: 02 February 2021

This work was commissioned for a Swiss mountain guide from Zermatt which is a mountain resort famous for skiing, mountaineering and hiking located in southern Switzerland, in the Canton of Valais. The town, which is located at an altitude of 1600 m, lies at the foot of the Matterhorn peak, the famous pyramid-shaped mountain. Bahnhofstrasse, the main street, is lined with boutiques, hotels and restaurants, and also offers a lively après-ski scene. Zermatt offers public outdoor rinks for ice skating and curling. For bottling, some stones were positioned and glued, simulating the summit which is made up of two distinct peaks connected by a thin crest that politically marks the border between Italy and Switzerland. [2] The border between Italy and Switzerland therefore follows the ridge itself, coinciding with the watershed line, so that the border passes over both peaks, as sanctioned by the Convention of 24 July 1941 between the Swiss Confederation and the Kingdom of Italy. of Mount Cervino and built the iron cross that currently dominates the summit. Leaning against the cross is an ice ax entirely made of walnut and a rope for climbing. The bottle is in a wooden container with the background of the silhouette of the Matterhorn on a wooden support of the eucaria plant, on the side of the container there is the plate with the German writing "in der flasche sept.er 2019." The bottle is closed with a cork and sealed with red wax with AB for the artist's name on it.
