Bottle 634 - Bark -Mary- in a Bottle
Date Added: 07 October 2008

This vintage piece is hand made in a rather heavy, old bottle. It is a 3 mast Basrk named "MARY". She is sailing on very choppy waters past a village. The Bark is white on the bottom of the hull and black on the upper part. There are three well-proportioned masts and yard arms. The Bark is at anchor with no sails flying. The rigging is excellent and very detailed with both standing and running rigging. There are two unidentified flags flying; one for the main mast and the second from the stern rigging. The deck is very detailed with cabins, grates, and other unidentified deck features. The is a red and green light in the bow of the ship. The ship is anchored outside a small village or town. There is a main land mass with fourteen structures painted mostly white with red roofs and black windows and doors. The buildings include several houses, a large windmill, and a church with a tall steeple. There are seven shaved wooden trees painted green. A smaller second land mass is toward the bottom of the bottle and has two large buildings and a very tall lighthouse painted red and white striped. The bottle is sealed with a cork and the opening and neck is covered with a macramé top with a Turks head knot at the base of the macramé.
