Ships, Folk Art, and Whimsey in Bottles

This is a model of a World War II battleship named "Toronto." The ship is the traditional dark gray color of military vessels of this era. The hull has numerous port holes on both the bow and stern areas. The name "Toronto" is on the bow of the ship. The ship has multiple decks, each with portholes and other unique features. The ship has two main cannons each with three guns and two smaller cannons with two guns each. There are three additional guns mid ship on each side. The ship has a flag pole and is flying the British flag. The ship is sailing near two land masses. Both areas of land are dark brown and are built with a mountain in the background. One area of land has four buildings including a church. Three of the buildings are white with black windows and doors and red roofs. The fourth building is green with a red roof. The other land area has two green buildings with red roofs and a small white house with a red roof. There are also two towers or perhaps lighthouses . The bottle is sealed with a cork. This ship came from Canada and was made in a POW camp there.
