Bottle 861 - 1855 Yarn Winder
Date Added: 21 August 2013

This winder was made in 1855. It has 6 arms with ivory thread wrapped numerous times around the arms of the winder. There are two small wooden gears in back of the winder and a Mother of Pearl circle is on the front of the winder. The date carved into the base of the winder base is 1855. On the back of the bottle it reads: L.W. GLENN/PHILADA. The bottle was likely a perfume bottle, which the LW Glenn Co. apparently did produce during that era. It is sealed with a fancy glass stopper.
