Ships, Folk Art, and Whimsey in Bottles

This model is based on fishing boats commonly found along the Mediterranean for hundreds of years. The original design was developed by the Romans and hardly changed up until the late 1800's. This model was based on boats found in the Barcelona Maritime Museum in Spain. This simple design inspired the artist, Bill Sheridan to write "Beginners Guide to Building Ships in Bottles". It is an ideal model for the first time model builder.
