Bottle 567 - Newport 16
Date Added: 11 September 2007

This is a model based on a day sailor owned by the artist, Bill Sheridan. It has a small cabin and berth for two. There is a 250 lbs swing keel which makes it very stable in heavier winds. It has a high freeboard which makes for a nice dry sail. The bottle was found in an antique store and was made by the Rochester Germicide Company in 1888. I later found out that germicide is a code word for embalming fluid and the bottle came from an old funeral home. The ghosts that came with the bottle seem friendly.
