Bottle 1094 - Indian Brave in Regalia in a Bottle
Date Added: 18 January 2021

This bottle contains a Indian Brave in full regalia. The Indian is built in several sections and he is shown in dance and body markings. He is wearing a mask with many colored lines and markings and a decorative front in black and yellow hanging below the mask. His hair is dark black and he is wearing a feathered headdress made from leather and containing 10 colored decorative feathers. He has a wide decorative red and blue bracelet on each wrist. He is holding a red, white and blue rattle is each hand. The Indian has a white leather loin cloth with a white leather sash. Both are very decorated in black and coral designs. His moccasins come up to his calves of his legs and are painted in blue, red and white colors. He is standing on a piece of rawhide to resemble the ground. This was perhaps made by a Pueblo Indian to sell to tourists in the 1950s or 1960s.
