"This model is based on a scene from Miegs Point in Hammonasset, CT. There is a rock jetty with a father and son fishing off the rocks. There is a guy relaxing on the beach with a metal detector resting in his lap. A few yards away is a "fat guy" getting a sunburn while perched on a blanket enjoying the view of a young women in a yellow bikini sailing off the beach in her sunfish sailboat. A typical summer day in CT. The scene is based on a story from a close friend describing his first day of fishing as a small boy with his Dad many years ago." Bill Sheridan, artist.
