This is a highly detailed model of the Destroyer "Amsterdam" (D819) of the Royal Dutch navy. The is a Friesland-class destroyer built for the Royal Netherlands Navy in the 1950s. They were a larger modified version of the Holland class with more powerful machinery. The Amsterdam was one of eight ships built. The Amsterdam was launched on August 25, 1956 and commissioned on April 10, 1957. The ship was decommissioned on May 12, 1980. This ship model was bottled in 2014 and it was the 61 ship in bottle by the maker. The bottle is a 0,75 liter Johnnie Walker. From start to finish this model took 32 hours to build.
