This is a very detailed and realistic whole hull model of the "P.S. Hope" an 1864 Liverpool Paddle Steamer. The ship is raised of the bottom of the bottle with two small brass dowels. The ship's hull is red on the bottom and the remainder white with port holes showing on the bow and stern. The ships anchors are displayed on the bow of the ship.. The ship has two masts with 8 sails flying with the sown sails and reef lines displayed. Each mast is in two sections and there are shroud and ratlines on each mast. The deck is in natural colors and has individual planking. The bow area has a raised deck with railing. There are 4 detailed lifeboats hanging over the sides of the ship and suspended from davits - two in the bow area and two in the stern area. The deck has many deck features including cabins, wheel house, funnels, and hatches. There is a paddle wheel mid-ship on each side of the ship. The paddle wheel housing and the paddles are very detailed. Across the middle of the ship is a raised walkway joining the paddle wheels. There is a cabin in the middle of the walkway. The ship has two large very detailed black smoke stacks with standing rigging and small funnels are the base of each. The bottle is sealed with a metal screw cap and a plaque on the top of the bottle reads: P.S. Hope - 1864, Steve Moseley, 2002."
