Ruby
Date Added: 27 February 2007
This is a three mast Bark sailing on a sea of white. The ship's hull is dark red on the very bottom and on the keel. Above that, the hull is dark gray and the top is black with a white stripe separating the gray and black. There are numerous gun ports shown in the white stripe. The name "Ruby" is painted on the bow of the ship but it is not the name of a real ship. The ship has 3 masts and 16 sails. There is a banner flying from the rear mast. There is also a flag flying that is badly faded from the rigging but it looks to be British. There are two cabins, a hatch and a lifeboat on the deck. There is a great deal of rigging and it is very well done. The bottle is sealed with a cork painted red. According to the seller, this bottle was made by an unidentified retired fisherman many years ago in Dover.
