Mill and Waterwheel in a Bottle
Date Added: 14 November 2018
This is an extremely well-made and very detailed Mill House with a large Waterwheel built inside a bottle. The structure is two stories with a protruding front room with a railed walkout balcony. The roof and porch overhang are covered with cedar shake shingles. There are seven windows, most shown with a broken glass panes. The structure is built with individual wood planks. The main hinged wooden door has steps leading to it and rails around the landing. It structure sits on rock and foundation posts. There are stacked stone on both sides of the waterwheel. The wheel is wooden with a large wooden flue built above it. There are two trees and many other features that make the mill and wheelhouse look very natural and realistic in its woodland surrounding. There is a small sign with the artist’s name: "J. DeVane" and the year made "1985" written on it. The clear glass bottle with finger/thumb tab on handle is sealed with a wooden stopper.
