This bottle contains a carved wooden anchor. The shaft of the anchor, the stopper, and the wooden chain suspending the anchor are all carved from a single piece of wood. The anchors stock and flukes go through the shaft of the anchor and are "pegged" so they cannot be removed leaving the question "how is this possible"? The stopper is carved like a cleat on a ship and tied with rope to secure it to the bottle. The anchor bottle is 3 1/4" at base, 6 1/2" tall to opening, 1" wide.
